Rolls-Royce tyres and servicing in Dubai

Dubai has one of the highest concentrations of Rolls-Royce cars anywhere. A Cullinan is close to 2.7 tonnes and a Phantom is heavier still, all of it riding on self-levelling air suspension and tyres made to Rolls-Royce's own specification. We are happy to look after tyres, brakes and the things that wear, but we will be blunt with you: more of the work on these cars belongs at the dealer than on almost anything else we see.

Common Rolls-Royce tyre sizes

  • 255/50R22 (Cullinan)
  • 285/45R22 (Cullinan rear)
  • 255/45R21 (Ghost)
  • 255/50R21 (Phantom)
  • 285/35R22 (Wraith rear)

Always check the placard inside your driver’s door — trim levels and wheel options change the size, and a previous owner may have fitted something different.

The RO1 marking on Rolls-Royce tyres

Rolls-Royce approves specific tyre constructions for its cars and marks them RO1 on the sidewall.

We will tell you whether the tyre we are quoting carries the marking or not, and what the practical difference is. Some drivers reasonably choose a non-marked tyre to save money — that is a decision you should get to make knowingly.

Worth knowing in UAE conditions

  • The combination of extreme kerb weight and 70C tarmac makes correct cold pressures critical - these cars punish a soft tyre faster than anything else on the road here
  • Self-levelling air suspension and the active anti-roll system are under constant load in this heat, and a slow leak shows as the car settling unevenly overnight
  • Tyre age matters more than tread on a low-mileage Rolls-Royce - plenty of these cars reach the five-year UAE legal limit with most of the tread still on them
  • Fine Al Quoz and desert dust works into brake hardware and door seals, and the A/C system on a cabin this size runs at full load almost year round

Ask about your Rolls-Royce

What we do on a Rolls-Royce

  • Supply and fitting of correct specification tyres in 21 and 22 inch
  • Balancing and alignment, including cars with rear-wheel steering set up by the dealer
  • Brake pads, discs and fluid
  • Air suspension fault diagnosis and strut or compressor replacement
  • A/C service and cooling system work

What we will send you to the dealer for

  • Warranty, recall and goodwill work, which we will always send back to Rolls-Royce
  • Key programming, immobiliser and module coding - the security architecture is closed to independents
  • ADAS camera and radar calibration, airbag modules, and any bespoke commissioned option or trim work

We are an independent garage, not a Rolls-Royce dealer or an authorised service centre, and we do not claim to be.
