Battery replacement
Heat kills car batteries far faster than cold does, which is why batteries in the UAE routinely last two to three years rather than the five or six they might manage elsewhere. We test before we sell: sometimes the battery is fine and the real fault is the alternator or a parasitic drain.
Do you need this?
Have the battery tested if the engine cranks slowly, if the car has needed a jump start, or if it is more than two years old. UAE batteries tend to fail suddenly and without much warning — a battery that started the car this morning can be dead by the afternoon.
Signs to look for
- Slow or laboured cranking, especially first thing
- Dashboard lights dimming noticeably while cranking
- Needing a jump start, even once
- A battery or charging warning light: it usually means the battery is not being charged
- Electrical oddities — windows slowing, radio resetting
- A battery more than two years old

We load-test the existing battery to see whether it is genuinely the fault.
We check charging voltage from the alternator, so we are not selling you a battery to mask a charging fault.
We check for a parasitic drain if the symptoms suggest one.
If replacement is needed, we fit the correct specification and terminal layout for your vehicle.
Terminals are cleaned and protected against corrosion.
On vehicles that require it, the new battery is registered to the charging system so it charges correctly.
The old battery is taken away for recycling.

Questions we get asked
How long does a car battery last in the UAE?
Typically two to three years, against five or more in a temperate climate. Sustained heat accelerates the internal chemical degradation and evaporates electrolyte, and the constant air-conditioning load means the battery works harder throughout its life. Sudden failure with little warning is the norm here.
Why do you test before selling me a battery?
Because a flat battery is a symptom, not always the fault. A failing alternator or a parasitic drain from an accessory will flatten a brand-new battery just as fast as an old one. Testing the charging system first means you do not pay twice.
What is battery registration?
Many vehicles from around 2010 onwards monitor battery age and condition to control charging. If a new battery is not registered to that system, the car keeps using the old battery’s charging profile, which charges the new one incorrectly (typically overcharging it) and shortens its life.
