Tyre replacement at our Al Quoz workshop

Tyre replacement

We supply and fit new tyres for cars, SUVs and 4x4s in Al Quoz. The DOT code on the sidewall tells you when a tyre was made, and in the UAE that date matters as much as the tread: ask to see it before any tyre goes on your car.

Do you need this?

You need new tyres if your tread is at or near the 1.6mm legal minimum, if there is cracking or bulging in the sidewall, or if the DOT date shows the tyre is approaching five years old. In the UAE the age rule catches people out far more often than tread wear does: a tyre can look almost new and still be illegal.

Signs to look for

  • Tread worn down to or below the 1.6mm wear indicator bars
  • Cracking, crazing or perishing in the sidewall rubber — common in UAE heat
  • A bulge or blister anywhere on the sidewall (replace immediately, do not drive)
  • Vibration through the steering wheel that balancing does not cure
  • Uneven wear across the tread, which usually also means an alignment problem
  • A DOT date more than four years old

What we actually do

Step by step, so you know what you are paying for.

  1. We check your current size, load index and speed rating, and confirm what your vehicle actually requires.

  2. We show you the DOT date of the specific tyres we will fit, before fitting them.

  3. Wheels come off, old tyres are removed and the rims are inspected for damage or corrosion.

  4. New tyres are mounted, fitted with new valves, and balanced on the machine.

  5. Wheels are refitted and torqued to the manufacturer specification — not rattled on with an impact gun.

  6. Pressures are set cold to your vehicle placard, and we explain why they will read higher once hot.

  7. Old tyres are disposed of responsibly.

Included in the price

Nothing is added at the counter. If we find something unexpected, we tell you the cost and wait for you to agree before doing it.

Questions we get asked

How long does it take to replace four tyres?

Around 45 minutes for a normal car, allowing for fitting, balancing and torquing all four wheels. Low-profile tyres, run-flats and large 4x4 wheels take longer because they are harder to mount without damaging the bead or the rim.

Should I replace all four tyres at once?

Not always, but never replace just one on an all-wheel-drive vehicle — a mismatched rolling diameter puts continuous strain on the differential. On a two-wheel-drive car you can replace in pairs, and new tyres should always go on the rear axle regardless of which wheels drive.

Do you fit tyres I bought elsewhere?

Yes, we will fit customer-supplied tyres. We will still check the DOT date and tell you what we find. If a tyre you have bought is already close to the UAE five-year limit we will say so before fitting it, because you are entitled to know.

What does the price include?

Fitting, wheel balancing, new valve stems, disposal of your old tyres and 5% VAT. There is nothing added at the counter. If your wheels need anything unusual — a seized locking nut, a corroded rim — we tell you the cost before we do it.
