Always check the placard inside your driver’s door — trim levels and wheel options change the size, and a previous owner may have fitted something different.
The MO / MO1 / MOE marking on Mercedes-Benz tyres
MO is the standard Mercedes homologation, MO1 is for AMG models, and MOE denotes an extended-mobility (run-flat) construction. MOE tyres must not be mixed with non-MOE on the same axle.
We will tell you whether the tyre we are quoting carries the marking or not, and what the practical difference is. Some drivers reasonably choose a non-marked tyre to save money — that is a decision you should get to make knowingly.
Worth knowing in UAE conditions
- Air suspension models are sensitive to rolling-diameter mismatch — keep all four tyres to the same specification.
- AMG fitments are usually staggered and often carry a different compound; a same-size non-AMG tyre is not equivalent.
