Citroen has a small footprint in the UAE, mainly the C5 Aircross and the C3, and owners often find dealer coverage thin once the car is out of warranty. Mechanically they share most of their hardware with Peugeot, so parts and general work are no harder than on a 3008. The soft suspension setup that makes a C5 Aircross comfortable is also the part that wears first here.

Always check the placard inside your driver’s door — trim levels and wheel options change the size, and a previous owner may have fitted something different.
Worth knowing in UAE conditions
- The C5 Aircross uses hydraulic cushion dampers for its soft ride, and they take a beating from villa community speed bumps. A car that suddenly rides harshly usually has a damper past its best
- Shared PureTech engines run hot in Dubai traffic and want oil changes well ahead of the book interval, with the same brittle cooling system plastics as their Peugeot equivalents
- Fine dust blocks the cabin filter and coats the evaporator, and weak A/C at idle in a C3 is nearly always airflow rather than gas
- Thin dealer coverage means these cars are often driven on ageing tyres. The five year age limit catches out a lot of low mileage C3s
