Bentley is well represented in Dubai and the Bentayga and Continental GT are common sights on Sheikh Zayed Road. These are very heavy cars - a Bentayga is well over 2.4 tonnes before passengers - running 21 and 22 inch wheels on tyres built to a specific load and speed rating. Fitting the wrong tyre to a Bentley is not a cosmetic decision. A lot of the electronics on these cars genuinely belongs to the dealer and we will tell you when that is the case.

Always check the placard inside your driver’s door — trim levels and wheel options change the size, and a previous owner may have fitted something different.
The B marking on Bentley tyres
Bentley specifies tyres developed for its own cars and marks them with a B on the sidewall, sometimes with a number for the specific model.
We will tell you whether the tyre we are quoting carries the marking or not, and what the practical difference is. Some drivers reasonably choose a non-marked tyre to save money — that is a decision you should get to make knowingly.
Worth knowing in UAE conditions
- The weight and the heat together are brutal on tyres - a Bentayga on underinflated 22s at 120km/h in July is the classic Dubai sidewall failure, and pressures need checking cold and often
- Air suspension compressors and valve blocks work continuously in this climate and the failure usually shows as the car sitting low on one corner after a night parked outside
- Carbon ceramic brakes on the Continental are unforgiving of kerb dust and stop-start traffic, and the discs are extremely expensive to replace
- Leather, veneer and soft-touch trim degrade fast under UAE sun, and A/C load on a cabin that size is relentless on the compressor and condenser
