Take the quote apart before you decide anything. It is a short hop between two parts of one district: no interchange to negotiate and no Salik gate, since the Al Safa gate only becomes your problem if you join Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) and nothing about this crossing requires it. Estimate around five minutes when it is quiet. Between five and seven in the evening the units and showrooms empty together and nine is more realistic.

Two populations share these streets and rarely overlap. On weekdays it is trade stock and courtesy cars: nearly new German saloons and SUVs moving between showrooms, transporters and cars on their first or second scheduled visit. At weekends Alserkal fills with private cars belonging to people who came for a gallery or a coffee, older Japanese hatchbacks, project cars, the occasional interesting import. The RTA buses you see are serviced inside the depot's own bays.

Usually, if we know you are coming and the parts for your car are on the shelf. A minor service is oil, filters, fluid levels and a proper inspection, measured in hours rather than days. Call before you leave Street 8 with the model, year and mileage so the oil grade and filters are ready when the car arrives. If the inspection turns up brake or suspension work you did not know about, we will tell you what it needs before touching it, and you can decide then.
I am buying a used car from one of the showrooms on this stretch. What should be checked before I sign?
Have it looked at by somebody who is not selling it to you. On a car that has stood on a forecourt through an Al Quoz summer, the things that matter are battery condition, discs that have surface-rusted from standing, tyre pressures and tread, coolant and brake fluid condition, plus any fault codes cleared shortly before viewing, since a scan shows readiness monitors that were recently reset. Ask for the service history and check the mileage against it. Showroom stock here is often genuinely good; the point is finding out which before the money moves.
I am on shift at the Al Quoz Bus Depot. Can I leave my own car with you while I am out on a route?
Yes, and it suits the shift pattern. The depot is on the same side of the district, so the drive over is a few minutes each way and the car can sit in our yard rather than in a staff car park all day.
