Worth knowing in UAE conditions
- If you air down for desert driving, reinflate to road pressure before returning to tarmac — running low pressure at highway speed builds heat fast and is a common cause of blowouts here.
- Load index matters on Land Cruisers and Hilux. Fitting a passenger-rated tyre to a vehicle that regularly carries weight is a real safety issue, not a technicality.
- All-terrain tyres wear faster on tarmac and are noisier; worth being honest about how much off-road driving you actually do.
