Accessibility statement
Draft — pending legal review. This has been prepared to align with UAE consumer protection and e-commerce law, but has not been reviewed by legal counsel and must be before launch.
We want this site to be usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or reduced-motion settings.
What we target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
What we have done
Specifically, across the site:
- Every page is fully operable by keyboard, with a visible high-contrast focus indicator
- A skip-to-content link is the first element on every page
- Semantic HTML with correct landmark and heading structure
- All form fields are labelled, and errors are announced to screen readers as well as shown visually
- Text contrast meets or exceeds 4.5:1, and interface components 3:1
- Colour is never the only way information is conveyed — status results carry an icon and a text label as well
- Interactive targets meet the minimum size requirement
- Full right-to-left support in Arabic, with correct handling of mixed Arabic and Latin text
- The prefers-reduced-motion setting is respected
- Automated accessibility testing runs in our build pipeline, and a failure blocks deployment
Known limitations
Embedded third-party content, such as map widgets, may not fully meet these standards. Where that is the case we provide an alternative — for example written directions and a link that opens your own maps application.
We would rather hear about a problem than assume there is not one.
