Worth knowing in UAE conditions
- The 1.6 THP and PureTech turbo engines run hot and are hard on oil. Extended service intervals that work in Europe are too long for Dubai traffic and timing belt and turbo problems follow
- Cooling system plastics, particularly the thermostat housing and water outlet, become brittle and weep coolant after a few Gulf summers
- Rear beam and torsion axle bearings on the smaller cars suffer from constant speed bump work in villa communities and start to rumble
- The large panoramic and glass roof areas on 3008 and 5008 put the A/C under heavy load, and cabin filters clog with fine dust much faster than the service schedule assumes
