Jaguar sold well in Dubai through the F-Pace and XF years and there are a lot of them still on the road here, many out of warranty. The aluminium-intensive body means bonded and riveted panels rather than plain steel, and the cars are heavier on their tyres than the badge suggests. F-Pace and XF run big wheels with short sidewalls, so kerb strikes and speed bumps in villa communities show up quickly as alignment complaints and vibration through the wheel.

Always check the placard inside your driver’s door — trim levels and wheel options change the size, and a previous owner may have fitted something different.
Worth knowing in UAE conditions
- Coolant hoses and the plastic thermostat housing on the Ingenium and supercharged V6 engines harden and weep after a few Dubai summers, and the first sign is usually a low coolant warning rather than a puddle
- Air suspension on F-Pace and XJ works far harder here - the compressor runs hot, the dryer saturates and the car sags overnight, most often on one corner
- Low-profile 20 and 22 inch tyres on hot tarmac take permanent sidewall bulges from a single hard speed bump, and a bulge is a replacement not a repair
- Electric door handles and window regulators suffer in the heat, and the sunroof drains block with fine Al Quoz dust and back up into the headlining
