Dodge tyres and servicing in Dubai
Chargers and Challengers get driven hard here and the heat does the rest. A Scat Pack on soft summer rubber can go through a set of rear tyres in a season, and the standard pads glaze long before the discs are worn out. Durangos carry the same V8 heat in a heavier body. We fit tyres, brakes and cooling parts for cars that spend their evenings on Sheikh Zayed Road.
Common Dodge tyre sizes
- 245/45R20 (Charger R/T)
- 275/40R20 (Challenger Scat Pack rear)
- 235/55R19 (Charger SXT)
- 265/50R20 (Durango)
- 295/45R20 (Durango SRT)
Always check the placard inside your driver’s door — trim levels and wheel options change the size, and a previous owner may have fitted something different.
Worth knowing in UAE conditions
- Summer performance tyres on Scat Pack and SRT cars wear very quickly here, and rear sets often need replacing at half the mileage the owner expected.
- Pads glaze and brake fluid boils on a heavy Charger or Challenger driven hard at 45C, and the pedal goes long while the pads still look serviceable.
- The 5.7 HEMI with cylinder deactivation is known for lifter and camshaft wear, and long periods idling in traffic with the A/C loaded make it worse.
- Tyre pressures climb sharply in the heat and an overinflated rear on a rear-drive car makes an already lively chassis harder to hold.
