Aston Martin tyres and servicing in Dubai

Aston Martins are a low volume car in Dubai and the DBX has brought a lot of the recent ones here. Fitments are bespoke - most DB11, Vantage and DBX tyres are built to Aston's own specification rather than pulled off a shelf, and they are staggered front to rear. Because the numbers are small, the right tyre for your car often has to be ordered in, and it is worth planning that rather than discovering it the week your test is due.

Common Aston Martin tyre sizes

  • 285/40R22 (DBX rear)
  • 265/40R22 (DBX front)
  • 255/40R20 (DB11 front)
  • 295/35R20 (DB11 rear)
  • 295/35R21 (Vantage rear)

Always check the placard inside your driver’s door — trim levels and wheel options change the size, and a previous owner may have fitted something different.

The AM marking on Aston Martin tyres

Aston Martin specifies its own tyre constructions and marks them AM, sometimes with a suffix for the model.

We will tell you whether the tyre we are quoting carries the marking or not, and what the practical difference is. Some drivers reasonably choose a non-marked tyre to save money — that is a decision you should get to make knowingly.

Worth knowing in UAE conditions

  • These cars cover low annual mileage in the UAE and usually hit the five-year tyre age limit long before the tread runs out - sidewalls crack in the sun while the tread still looks new
  • Adaptive dampers and, on the DBX, air suspension work hard in the heat and on villa community speed bumps, and bushes and bump stops go early
  • Carbon ceramic and large steel brakes glaze in short stop-start city driving with the A/C at full load, which shows up as judder under braking on the first hard stop
  • Low-slung front splitters and lips on DB11 and Vantage take damage on ramps and speed bumps, and underbody trays come loose
